An interview may be conducted at the discretion of the admissions committee. DATA 5405 Python Fundamentals is a prerequisite for the program. Students may test out of the course with an online exam.

Fairfield’s Master of Arts in Interior Design students will complete the coursework necessary, along with experience in the field, to help expedite their journeys toward NCIDQ certification and ASID membership, two organizations that are pertinent and extremely valuable in the interior design industry.
Passage of the NCIDQ Examination is required for interior design licensure/registration in every regulated jurisdiction within the United States and Canada, with the exception of California. It is the only examination recognized by these state and provincial regulators and therefore required for the practice of many types of interior design. Designers certified through the NCIDQ Exam gain wide industry visibility and recognition.

Applicants to the creative writing program must apply in one of three main genres: fiction, poetry, or nonfiction. For fiction, writers may work in any form, style, or subgenre, as long as the work has certain basic literary qualities, such as interesting and original language, well-developed characters, and plots that avoid clichés.
After admittance, students who wish to switch genres must submit a writing sample in the new genre to the program director. For the creative thesis, most students will need to select one of the three genres. In special cases, students may do a combination thesis, but only if two faculty members agree to supervise the project.

Yes, all students must complete 150 hours of in-person, virtual or hybrid internship at an organization that conducts public health-related work with supervision and mentoring from a staff member with a public health background. More experienced students can opt for a deliverables-based internship. The MPH program director must approve this option.
The fieldwork course also includes a leadership and professional development seminar. Students are also required to complete a two-semester capstone project in which they execute an independent public health project with mentorship from a public health faculty member.
